My Why

There’s a saying that we need to set aside our differences to move forward. While Iagree with that sentiment, I want to take it a step further. Let’s not just aside our differences, but apply them. Let’s recognize our differences and they will be the puzzle pieces to which we lay a foundation to build upon, together. Look at your palm. Notice how each finger is a different length. Could you properly form a fist if they were all the same length and direction? I doubt it. Each finger plays a certain role and when those roles come together, and form a fist, they can do extraordinary things. In my book The Veinyard, my protagonists come from different backgrounds with different views on how things work. Despite their differences they apply them, work together as a team, and strike a major blow into an organization that people wouldn’t believe exist. We all have a role to play in lifewhether it’s to support a cause or be a leader. And if we apply our differences, there’s chance we can not only get along but mold together and progress on that foundation from which we laid down.

“Through adversities we shake the dirt off us and step up. With the rain we make clay with the dirt and with the dirt comes the bricks.”… “And with these bricks we lay the foundation for which we will build.”
