A quote by the loved Dr. LaTracey. She is the owner of Black Authors Rock, preacher, publisher, mother, a multiple best seller & phenomenal speaker! On Saturday December 3, 2022 she hosted Sexy with a Pen- After dark which was a beautiful event held in Tanner, AL. This event also presented the well known saxophonist Willie Jazzanova Davis. He held the crowd captive with his beautiful melodies as he moved around the room.
Sexy with a pen removes the idea that writers aren't sexy! BAR (Black Authors Rock) insists on showing you otherwise with the sensational and sensual, after- five burlesque themed extravaganza! This event was captivating with it's wine selections, Cajun delectable menu and the live entertainment. There were authors and business owners in attendance who drove in from miles to attend. Yes there were tears of joy, testimonials, group singing of Melodies from heaven, like only we can sing it, journal gift giving, 360 booth videos and so much more!
Just to name a few authors in the building they were Alexandria Jones, Adrienne Figures, Maurice Shingleton (principle of Sheffield Junior High), Anita Anderson, Essence Nesbit, Tawanda Jones, Teresa Young, Evelyn Hambrick, Francesca & Eleanor Dildy, just to name a few!
Everything you need is in the room!
Dr. LaTracey made this crystal clear during this event. Each one teach one and love on another. The women and men business owners in the room ranged from pest control, 360 booth rentals, professional speakers, media (The Melanin Pride), publishing companies, event coordinator's, counselors, food catering, wedding planners etc. So yes! There were plenty of people in the room who knew how to make things happen & are willing to work together to accomplish that goal.
